Yearbook's "Sparty" to be Held Wednesday, May 23rd

Wheeling High School Orchesis to Perform at State High School Dance Festival

Wheeling High School Orchesis was selected to perform White Winter Hymnal at the State High School Dance Festival on May 19th. Choreographed by junior Chelsie Coren, additional performers are Kaitlyn Nielsen and Jami Kahn. The festival consists of a full day of workshops and master classes and concludes with the student choreography showcase. This year's festival site is Buffalo Grove High School. » Continue Reading

WHS Students Participate in Operation Snowball

On April 28th, Wheeling High School held its first ever Operation Snowball. Over 80 students and 30 staff members attended. This was an all-day event starting at 7:00am and ending at 11:30pm!!!! So what did the students do for over 16 hours???? They had fun forming bonds in their small groups, attending presentations by “The Amazing Tie Street”, and Charla and Mike Waxman. Welcome to Wheeling High School, a public, four-year comprehensive high school with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) that opened in 1964 and graduated its first class in 1966. Wheeling is one of the six schools in Township High School District 214, including Buffalo Grove, John Hersey (Arlington Heights), Prospect, and Rolling Meadows High Schools. Wheeling is a culturally diverse high school, as is District 214. The community is predominately middle income residential, with light industry providing a major portion of the tax base for the entire district.
