MEDICAL EXCUSES

It is understandable that there are times when a student cannot participate in physical education class due to short term, unexpected illness or injury. Students unable to participate must bring a note from a parent or guardian (for 1 or 2 days), or doctor (3 or more days) to the school nurse, preferably before school and prior to physical education class. The nurse will then issue a medical limitation excuse the student must bring to the PE teacher.  The PE teacher will retain the student in class as a non-participant. Students are expected to dress in P.E. attire even if they will not be active.  Students with an extended doctor's excuse (five days or more) may be reassigned to adapted physical education. Students will have 10 days to regain A.D.O. points, unless otherwise determined by the teacher.
