When grading history projects, teachers want to see evidence that you:
- Know about history
- Have done some meaningful thinking about history
- Explanation of why your topic is significant
- Your facts and where you got them
- How you analyzed your facts to make a point and draw conclusions
Historical Narrative Projects include:
- Detailed examination of historical event, person, or era
- Reading of primary and secondary sources talking about the subject
- Your analysis of the topic based on your readings
- Story of the event, person, or era
Examples of history project topics:
- The south during the Civil War
- American Indians during the westward movement
- Religious unrest in Ireland
- Apartheid in Africa
