When grading history projects, teachers want to see evidence that you:

1. Know about history
2. Have done some meaningful thinking about history

  They will look at:

1. Explanation of why your topic is significant
2. Your facts and where you got them
3. How you analyzed your facts to make a point and draw conclusions
   

Historical Narrative Projects include:

• Detailed examination of historical event, person, or era
• Reading of primary and secondary sources talking about the subject
• Your analysis of the topic based on your readings
• Story of the event, person, or era
  

Examples of history project topics:

1. The south during the Civil War
2. American Indians during the westward movement
3. Religious unrest in Ireland
4. Apartheid in Africa
