Inter-Library Loans

On those occasions when circumstances prevent you from getting them, the Wheeling High School library staff would be happy to assist you by securing materials through inter-library loan.

Materials can be obtained for you from:

• The Wheeling High School Library and the Wheeling High School Professional Library
• Other school libraries in the 214 District (Dist 214 online catalog)
• The local public libraries
• Other public libraries and university libraries state-wide (FirstSearch and I-Share)

(Caution: The typical loan period is 3 weeks, so you can't count on keeping materials or textbook for the duration of a class you are taking).

Time frame - material will be available:

• from the district 214 libraries -- within 3 days
• from local public libraries -- about 1 week
• from libraries or universities statewide -- usually 7 to 10 days
  
  Also: If you need journal articles that are not available in full text online, let us know. We may be able to get copies through inter-library loan in about a week.
