To format your document with hanging indents:

1. Open a Word document.

2. From the menu bar click on
Format -- Paragraph.

3. In the Paragraph window, be sure the Indents and Spacing tab is selected. Under the Indentation category, click the button under Special: and click Hanging at the bottom of the list. Click the OK button.
