4. There are 2 common ways to align text to the left and text to the right on the same line in the header/footer text box.
•A table can be inserted into the header/footer text box.
From the menu bar select Table -- Insert -- Table. To remove the table border (outline), be sure to click the AutoFormat button in the insert table window. Click to uncheck the box next to Borders in the Formats to apply section of the Table AutoFormat window. Type text into the table cells. The text can then be aligned within each cell.

•The second way is to insert a right align tab marker along the right margin of the document.
To insert a right align tab, you can either use the Tab dialog box (choose Format -- Tabs), or use the small button located in the top/left corner of the Word window below the toolbars. Click this button and choose the tab you want from the dropdown menu. (Choose View -- Ruler if the ruler isn't visible.) Click the horizontal ruler where you want to set the tab. In the header or footer text box, type the left-aligned text, press the Tab key to move to the right margin and then type the right-aligned text.
5. To exit the header/footer editor, click Close on the header/footer toolbar. Header/footer information will appear grayed out in the document.
To edit the header or footer, double click the header/footer area on the document or from the menu bar click View -- Header and Footer.
