Remove the border from a text box in Microsoft Word
1. Open a Word document.

3. Your mouse will look like a plus (+) sign. Drag your mouse on the document where you want the text box to be placed. Notice that the text box has a black border around it. You may want to type your text before you remove the border from the text box.
4. To remove the black border, open the Format Text Box window by double clicking on any edge of the text box or from the menu bar click Format -- Text Box.

4. In the Format Text Box window, be sure the Colors and Lines tab is selected. Near the center of this window, under the Line category, click the button next to Color: and click No Line at the top of this box. Click the OK button.
