Bullying Policy
Bullying and/or intimidations of others may include but is not limited to any repetitive, aggressive, or negative gesture, or written, verbal, or physical act that places another student in reasonable fear of harm to his or her person or property, or that has the effect of insulting or demeaning any student in such a way as to disrupt or interfere with the school's educational mission. Examples of bullying behavior include pushing, hitting, threatening, name-calling, or other physical or verbal conduct of a belittling nature. Such behavior most often will occur when a student asserts physical or psychological power over, or is cruel to another student perceived to be weaker
Schools are charged with providing a learning environment that is free from intimidation. The school enviornment includes any situation with a close connection to school, including wtihout limitation, situations that occur on school premises, during travel to and from school, or during attendance at school-related activities. Bullying and intimidation can constitute gross disobedience or misconduct and result in disciplinary consequences up to and including expulsion.
Parking Permits
Students are required to display a current WHS parking tag to park in our back lot. The fee to purchase a tag is $185 for the school year. Seniors may apply for a tag in the attendance office. Juniors must submit a request for permission to purchase a tag (please include why the tag is needed.) Our North "Red Row" is available to juniors and seniors without a tag each morning on a "first come, first served" basis. These spaces fill early. Freshmen and Sophomores are not eligible to purchase a tag. Safety is a high priority in our parking lot. Students who are reportedly engaged in any kind of reckless driving may have their tag revoked.
