On Wednesday, April 18, WHS will be hosting the Max Schewtiz Foundation as they will be providing cardiac screening during PE/Health classes for students who sign up and register.   
 
In 2005, Max Schewitz died without warning from a hidden heart condition.  He was just 20.  Now, the Max Schewitz Foundations Heart Smart EKG screening helps find at-risk children so they can seek treatment and not share Max's fate.
 
Screening is going to be offered on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18th to ALL Wheeling High School students.
 
-  Testing includes an EKG for all participants
-  Only students with permission will be tested.
-  Testing cost $15.00 per student
-  Please register online at http://www.heartsmartekg.org/WHEELINGHS  or on our     website, www.heartsmartEKG.org.

Prom guest forms are now available in the Attendance Office.  If your guest to Prom is not a Wheeling student, please stop by and pick up a form today.  Forms are due on THURSDAYMAY 3, 2018.  You will not be able to purchase prom tickets on Saturday, May 5, 2018 unless your form has been submitted and approved!  Please don't delay in submitting your form.  Your cooperation is appreciated!

Attention all students who are 16 years or older. The spring blood drive will take place on Wednesday, April 25th from 8 am - 2:45 pm in the gym. Forms are located outside of room 233. 
ALL students (even 18 year olds) need signed permissions forms to donate. The signatures must be in PEN. You also need to weigh at least 110 pounds and be healthy the day of the drive. 
All forms can be turned in to room 233 OR into Ms. Mattingly's mailboxes in the social studies office or main office. PLEASE try your best to turn forms in ahead of time.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our Frosh/Soph baseball team for their defeat of Elk Grove H.S. Sophomore Spencer Nowak pitched an outstanding 6 and 2/3 innings to secure the 6-2 win. At the plate, Spencer contributed to the win by hitting a mammoth home run. Freshman Kenny Yoshino and Chase Rosen also had big hits to score runners. Way to go Cats!!

Come see what manufacturing is all about! Swiss Precision Machining is a local company that has offered to host a table during our lunches on April 24th to share an outlook for manufacturing careers and explain what employers are looking for. Come on by--ask how to prepare for any interview or ask what classes might be helpful. This is a great opportunity for students that know they want to go into manufacturing or for people that are not sure what they want to do after high school.
We also have an outside manufacturing training institute coming on April 26th. Again, come on by!

Cheer clinics for the 2018-2019 fall cheer squad will take place on Tuesday, April 24th and April 25th from 5:30-7:30 pm in the South Gym.  Tryouts will be Friday, April 27th in the South Gym.  You must bring a completed cheer packet to the first clinic.  Please come dressed in shorts, gym shoes, and a t-shirt for clinics.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Koelper in Room 114.
